SVRTA – Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority will be operating on a Saturday schedule, as of March 30, 2020. This Saturday schedule will continue until Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and the Jefferson County Department of Health, have determined the COVID-19 pandemic has passed and it is safe to continue normal operations. We ask that the Steel Valley RTA service be used only for essential trips such as travel to employment, medical appointments, grocery stores, etc. Complementary Paratransit will also continue to operate for essential trips only.

Softite Community Federal Credit Union

Drive thru access for Softite Community Federal Credit Union will be available during our normal business hours, unless adjusted due to staffing issues. Customers are encouraged to use online banking, mobile app, ATM and night deposits. We understand that some of our members may encounter economic hardships and we are here to help, contact one of our offices at:  (740) 314-8965, (740) 633-2103 or (740) 526-8103. Unfortunately, we also, want to remind everyone to remain vigilant for scams related to the coronavirus.

In order to support the Coronavirus containment efforts, we are currently not permitting visitors to our Moundsville office, but remain committed to helping you and your family with your legal needs. Elmhurst is following all CDC guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic. We have been doing a variety of activities with residents on each floor. Our residents are from the greatest generation, for that reason, they are accepting this new norm like troopers. We are looking for N-95 masks as our supplies are almost depleted.

With the quarantine recommendations across the country due to COVID-19, people are finding different ways to connect with each other. Music provides such an outlet for people. Studies have shown that listening to music has a direct impact on the neuro-chemicals in the brain, many of which play a role in closeness and connection.  These same studies have also indicated that musical performance via: singing, dancing or drumming, releases additional endorphins and can result in a greater positive emotion.
